Industry Training Organisations ITO Sectors ITO Sectors - Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Energy Food and Beverage Manufacturing Tourism and Hospitality Trinidad & Tobago Tourism & Hospitality Industry Training Organisation The Tourism and Hospitality Industry Training Organisation (ITO) was the first ITO to be launched in Trinidad and Tobago. The organisation comprises two arms - a Trinidad arm and a Tobago arm and was officially launched in December 1999. The Tourism and Hospitality ITO has already begun its work on the development of occupational standards in the following areas: Tour Guiding Food and Beverage Service Recreational Diving Housekeeping Key indicators such as an increase in visitor arrivals and a 3.4% contribution to GDP show that there is a substantial potential for the development of the tourism sector. The Trinidad and Tobago Tourism Master Plan outlines that the focus for this sector's development will be on the establishment of low volume, low impact, high value, high yield alternative tourism that will foster the creation of viable and profitable linkages with other industries such as manufacturing, agriculture, construction, energy and services.
